Asian Water Buffalo

You can see a colony of possums and enjoy talking to the friendly Pot bellied pig "Rocky" who always takes the lime light.

We have Cameroon and black faced sheep, and a colony of bandit raccoons who are very lazy...but they do come out at feeding times. There will be notices about when they are fed.

The huge collection of birds of prey of every type include the new addition of the two burrowing owls who like to hide so be patient. This year the Eagle owl had an addition and he is now being hand reared and will appear in the flying display. There will be opportunities to meet the handlers and the birds and of course, there are flying displays.

from sheep & llamas

The two haughty llamas, Charlie and Gerry stroll around looking for attention! There are sheep and goats and they are always looking out for things to eat; food or clothing so be careful.

Our Raccoon Colony

Raccoon

If you go down to the park today look out for the bandits! Our colony of masked raccoons! The raccoon's mask is linked with its "Zorro" image - they have been known to open doors and get in houses in North America where they come from. They can climb trees and mostly they are nocturnal so you must not miss the feeding times, as this is when they come down for to ground level. See their hand-like paws, which are remarkably dexterous. They tend to wash their food carefully before eating, so never give them a sugar lump!

to guinea pigs and giant rabbits

Giant Rabbit

Guinea pigs are a family favourite in the park running freely and burrowing, as they would do naturally in the wild. They are common in South America, and properly called Cavia Cobaya.

The Giant rabbits are descendents from the Flemish giant rabbit. Our Giant rabbits are very sociable and love to interact with people, which make them popular with young children. They are a bit lazy and tend to sleep during the day and they are more active in the mornings and evenings. They have dense coats and make them very nice to touch! We have regular petting times for accompanied children.

norfolk black turkeys

Black Turkey

You will be surprised to meet Mathew and Bernard our black turkeys, in the pheasant enclosure.

They are probably one of our oldest residents so they adopted the family of peacocks whilst they were chicks and regard them as their own. You will see them call by to check on their adopted parents!
