The Afternoon Show with Rob Underwood on Monday the 14th of May will be broadcast from the park. As part of the series 1 week in Lincolnshire, arriving around 12:30pm they will be on air from 2pm till 4pm and then leave by 4:30pm. 2012 The Final Season

Come along and enjoy a fantastic day at the Butterfly and Wildlife Park before it’s too late!

2012 is the final season that the Park will be open. We would like to ensure all our visitors have a fantastic time in The Final Season to celebrate the 25 years of the Butterfly and Wildlife Park.

Enjoy the warmth and splendour of the Tropical House with its beautiful butterflies, interesting reptiles and fascinating insects. Marvel at the incredible creatures in the Bird of Prey Centre and enjoy the splendour of them in the daily Bird of Prey Displays (weather permitting). Let the little ones revel in the Adventure Playground and get up close to some of our animals in the Animal Encounters. Relax in our Award winning Traditional Tea room and remember to take home a memento of the day from the Gift Shop.

The Park’s Special Events this year include, Easter Weekend Fun, Wind in the Willows performances, Conservation Day, Indiana Ted Zoolympics and a Final Weekend Celebration.

Enjoy a Birthday Party at the park. You can enjoy all the park has to offer (Bird of Prey displays, Tropical House, Adventure Playground…) and in addition, experience an exclusive animal handling session (snake, owl, ferret, lizard or bug) and birthday lunch. Unfortunately the recent economic climate, including increases in running costs, changes in tax levels & new regulatory obligations; has had a big impact on the Butterfly and Wildlife Park. In addition to this, the reduced level of consumer spending and increased competition in the region has led to the business being no longer financially viable. The animals will all stay at the park throughout this season so visitors can still come and see their favourites. The team are working to ensure that the animals all go to good homes once the park has closed.

Come along to our Annual Conservation Day and learn how to make a difference to the world around us.

This year this is held on World Environment Day to increase the awareness of conservation issues.

17th June. Father’s Day Extreme Animal Handling.

Bring your Father along to the park and join in the handling of some of our more unusual animals and birds.

This year Peter Rice Reptiles are joining us at the Park for Father’s Day and are bringing along some of their unusual and exotic snakes for visitors to see and, in some cases, handle!

This will include special sports events based on animal themes. Sprint like an emu, jump like a Kangaroo, or take part in a very special egg and spoon race.
