Fun things for kids to do during a visit or at home
Come and visit the Butterfly Wildlife Park for an unforgettable fun day out.
Our Tropical house has beautiful free flying butterflies and birds. There are many reptiles to see, lizards, snakes, caimenĀ and geckosĀ . Some of which you can handle and hold at our animal encounter sessions. There are lots of creepy crawly insects for you to look at, tarantulas, scorpions, cockroaches and many more. Dare to get up close……
Visit our amazing Birds of Prey, Liberty our American Eagle, Boogie the barn owl and all the others birds are waiting to see you. Don’t miss our famous Bird of Prey display and watch in awe as the birds fly freely above you. (12pm and 3pm, except 11-19th Feb 2pm only).
Wander around all our other animal enclosures. Our water buffalo, llamas, emus, raccoons and many, many more don’t like to feel left out, so make sure you see them all. Animal feeding times for some of these are advertised at the park.
Our adventure play area complete with toddler activities is just the place to go wild. Riding our 40foot zip wire, climbing the tower, running around the fort and wooden trail should provide you with an appetite to enjoy our refreshments on offer.
Ice creams, soft drinks and snacks can be bought from our Cabin within our adventure play area or sandwiches, home made cakes and tea and coffee from our Tea Room.
We also have a gift shop with lots of pocket money items which you might like to remind you of your visit.
Why not have a birthday party here? Good food, animal encounters, bird of prey displays and the adventure play area all to be enjoyed! Some of our young visitors even adopt an animal or have a ‘Fly a Barn Owl’ experience as a special present.
Indiana Ted is our special bear, our mascot and spends his time in the gift shop but try and find all his pictures hidden around the park.
