see our birdsOur gardens
There are different gardens to explore; each set out with plants with a purpose of attracting wildlife: The herb garden is full of insects, bees and butterflies, who feed on the nectar.
There are areas of natural planting of nettles, docks, brambles; ivy, elder, willow, cow parsley, and wild horseradish; Natural woodland copses surround other features and help to make it wild. Contrastingly, there are acres of mature orchards of fruit trees.
The Tropical garden incorporates the butterflies but in itself supports many different beautiful tropical trees and flowers of various types. Enjoy the sumptuous blooms whilst watching the butterflies.
outdoor birds & animals
There are animal enclosures with Llamas, a pot bellied pig and water-buffalos. Also a petting area with rabbits and raccoons and a new for 2008 tropical aviary for exotic birds.
